Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, leading a delegation from Hyderabad, has embarked on a significant journey to Davos, Switzerland. This marks a historic occasion as it is the first time that the Telangana state delegation is under the leadership of the Chief Minister. The visit, scheduled from January 15 to 19, is not only a prestigious participation in the 54th edition of the World Economic Forum (WEF) but also a strategic move to attract global investments to the state.

The delegation, including IT and legislative affairs minister D. Sridhar Babu and other officials, has a comprehensive agenda. The engagement doesn't stop there; the delegation is set to interact with prominent business chambers like CII and Nasscom, along with engaging with media networks. Chief Minister Reddy and Minister Babu will also have strategic discussions with the top management of the WEF, including its president Brende Borge, and sector heads.

Telangana's association with WEF is robust, with Hyderabad being the exclusive host of WEF’s Centre for 4th Industrial Revolution (C4IR) for the healthcare and life sciences sector in India. This highlights the state's significance in technological advancements and innovation.

In a statement, Minister Sridhar Babu emphasized the importance of this trip, stating that the Chief Minister was invited by the WEF soon after assuming office. This trip is meticulously planned, with a packed schedule of meetings with approximately 70 industry leaders over three days.

The delegation aims to make the most of this invite-only event, which annually attracts over 3,000 delegates, including representatives from 100 governments, top global companies, international organizations, NGOs, and media. Their goal is not only to participate but also to sign crucial Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) and secure substantial investment deals across various sectors, including pharma, electronics, data centers, defense and aerospace, food processing, and renewable energy.
